Shaker 94 and Red Arrow 73 switch positions!

After the end of regular streetcar service and new operator training on Saturday July 18, 2020 our enthusiastic young people organized the effort to move Shaker Heights Rapid 94 from the shop to the Trolley Display Building and return with Philadelphia Suburban 73 to put in 94' place.
Thursday and Friday Michael Buchta worked into the evening and got the headlight installed in housing on 94's dash.  We had all of the components on hand and Mike did a great job of finishing things up.

Locomotive 89 went ahead to the TDB to switch everything around ahead of 94's arrival

Kevin his Dad Doug and Loco 89 were really busy ahead of 73's arrival

Progress on the Fairgrounds Canopy

Down at the Museum we have had a trickle of visitors and some very dedicated volunteers operating the cars and giving tours.  The Museum is open Thursday---Sunday.

Kevin and Michael with some help from Laura have been hard at work on the Fairgrounds platform canopy Monday---Wednesday as illustrated with the photos below.  In the shop I have been busy building shelves for the parts from 8042, which is scheduled to have work resume on Monday 7/13.  We have one Operator for an hour person scheduled that day.  The beat goes on...

On Wednesday (7/8) Ominous clouds foretell the deluge hit us yesterday.

The other big thing in my sights is Grampa's pet Playtrolley, currently being refurbished by volunteer Tom Pawlesh.
